Work with a business coach or accountability partner on increasing my business’ monthly revenue by 10% in first quarter and additional 15% by third quarter

12/31 waiting to hear from a possibility of a lady coach in SF. Also, listed 0ut the 19 things I’ve wanted to do for my business growth.

1/13 Meh. Kind of want this, kind of don’t. Have been working the 12 steps around it with a trusted fellow so there is some motion.

2/9 Woah. Have been working the 12 Steps around underearning and it is getting tangibly better! Yesssss.

2/23 Amen. I am enjoying a new free feeling around charging for my services. It’s really wonderful.

Shoot for the moon would be taking effective steps towards earning passive income.

Specifically

  • have my business effectively re-branded and described by end of January.
  • along those lines, start working with national clients by end of February.

1/13 Book Book Book is everywhere. Not sure I’ll do it, but can at least acknowledge the challenge is there.

4/15 4Hour Workweek is planting the seeds for more passive income, in addition to working with clients.

6/10 Rebranding is happening and it’s edgy and fun.

6/17 Launched new website with new business name. New business cards on the way. In process of joining a BNI group. eBook project outlined and notes are flowing. Ship date: 6/15/11.

7/4 Holy shinola, the first draft of the first eBook chapter is done!

8/9 Okay, refocusing. Regular/weekly clients in financial organizing and bookkeeping. Really enjoying it, fine with cultivating more of the similar.

9/13 Sooooo kickin’ butt. Business is great, fun, interesting. Very pleased and grateful!

Visit Mother Ocean

At least once per month.

Jan, did 1/16 with NM. Ocean Beach. Also, little drive-by when looking at a house at Baker Beach. It was so beautiful (the ocean, not the house).

Feb, scheduled with 2 peeps already on 2/9! Beautiful walk with new friend, done. Underneath Golden Gate Bridge.

Mar, with Yam for his very fave locay.

Apr, With Tall Business, Baker Beach. Lovely sunny day.

May, Couple of times at Ocean Beach. Very pretty.

Jun, Yeh, I seen it. It’s been chilly to go directly there. (Wuss.)

Jul, Ridiculous gorgeousness, OMG. So very happily done.

Aug, just saw it. Both in real life and my dreams.

Sep, going regularly to see Outer Sunset client. This one is good and healthy.

Travel

  • At least 1 meditation retreat of 3 days or longer in the year. 7/4 still want to do this. A holiday one at Spirit Rock is my default in case year’s end comes quicker than I expect it to. 8/9 Picked it out for December. Almost time to register. : ) 9/13 got ready to register, and got a big fat NO. This surprises me, but I’m letting it go for now.
  • Nazrudin Conference. 7/4 reserved room for October. Yay!
  • DONE Spring 2011 is a family wedding in Vienna, VA. 2 women! Rock on! 2/9 planning to book this in  March. 3/15 ticket booked. Will be in both Richmond and Vienna.

Read (completely, Crittenden!) 12 books

1 Moneyball by Michael Lewis. FABULOUS. I love it. Looking forward to the movie.

2 The Seven Stages of Money Maturity by George Kinder.

3 The Still, Small Voice by Echo Bodine.

4 The Inner Game of Tennis, Gallwey. AWESOME.

5 Open: An Autobiography by Andre Agassi. Life-changing.

6 Conversations With God 1 by Neale Donald Walsch

7 The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss

8 Linchpin by Seth Godin

9 I Need Your Love: Is That True? by Byron Katie

10 That Is So You! edited by Michelle Tea

11 Delivering Happiness by Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos.com  FABULOUS, very inspiring

12 Love Is The Killer App, by Tim Sanders

13 Traveling Mercies by Anne Lamott. SO good and timely and rich.

In progress:

The Big Short by Michael Lewis. My first NookBook. I still need to figure out how to work it!

Liar’s Poker by Michael Lewis. Abandoned. I read half and I’m sick to death of spending time with these lowlifes. Yuck. Read the last chapter hoping for redemption. Nope.

Healing Fibroids Naturally. Second NookBook. Yep, still need to figure it out. I know how people new to VCR’s when they left the lights blinking for years on end. (Ha! I bought it and never read it but it turns out I don’t even have fibroids.)

The Sea Around Us by Rachel Carson. Giving up on it. It’s nice but just not at the top of the list.

Bad Boys…, lent to me my OMing research partner. Only read half of it.

Giving up on Fourth Hand. Just not that into it.

Conversations With God II by Neale Donald Walsch. Just sick of it.

Eat.Sleep.Sit. My Year at Japan’s Most Rigorous Zen Temple by Kaoru Nonomura Too scary and depressing.

Conscious Finance by Rick Kahl and Kathleen Fox Read it “enough”

Finish the “tennis league” I started

1/13 I HEART TENNY

1/18 I now have 2 regular weekly partners, a man and a woman. Woo hoo!

2/9 Tennis love is growing on the daily. It is SO fun!

2/23 First “real” lesson ever went very well. Joined USTA the next day. :)

3/15 I finished my league. Next destination: womens’ 3.0 tennis team. I go to my first practice on 3/27.

4/3 First match of my Sweetspots 3.0 career. : )

4/15 Lost my first 2 singles matches. Wow, learning SO much about the difference between hitting a tennis ball back and forth and actually playing the game. Love it more each time so far.

4/22 Won a team match! Whew. First game, me serving, went to 5 deuces!

6/3 Am counting to 100 times of playing on my calendar for fun and reminder that this is a long slow process. 1st team is going great. Also signed up for a summer flex league, and looking at a doubles league in the fall.

7/4 Am at time 17 out of 100. Won my first 2 flex league matches. Still loving it tremendously.

7/12 In the middle of summer flex league. Femmamoto invited me to play with her in an upcoming doubles tournament, yay.

7/25 I lost a big match during playoffs. It was epic, feeling-wise. I started to play better after “getting that over with”. Team is going to districts in August, woah.

8/9 Have added in more doubles. Districts this weekend. Ohana doubles in September with Femmemoto. Fall brings combo league, also all doubles. Have also started working through the GLTF Challenge Ladder.

9/14 Combo league has started. Very fun, all ladies’ doubles. Won division at Ohana tournament with someone who called me “her partner” to other good players. My inner 13 year-old died and went to heaven. : )

Play on clay court (added 7/4)

Lead groups, both professionally and as a volunteer

3/16 Finishing up my year with AboutFace. Next may be JobCorps, recommended by a financial planner.

4/15 Just met with JobCorps coordinator and I’m undecided. Do I actually want to do this, or do I just want to want to because I think it’s what a good person would/should do?

4/23 I said yes to it and felt a flow of energy within me open back up. Okay, there’s something there.

7/4 A friend who had only met me once before said, “I don’t know if this resonates with you, but I really see you leading groups or teaching people somehow.”  : )

8/9 Later this week is JobCorps, basics of bill paying and money management to 30 recent high school grads. Then what, sweetie? Hmmm.

9/23 Talking with HL about the setup for stroking groups. It’s interesting, and an edge for me to revisit it.

Quarterly Meals w M’y

1st Q on 2/23

2nd Q on 3/31

3rd Q texted on 6/10, we’re all set for 6/20. Oops, need to reschedule. We’re now set for last of July. Done. : )

Definitely learn something about Hinduism

9/11 Looked up prayers and listened to some songs on YouTube. What’s next? Also emailed my former therapist, as it is her practice, tho we rarely talked about it back at the time.

Take a basic Accounting class

6/10 Maybe in the fall.

Donate (money or time or both) to groups for:

  • Food/local/sustainability movement (farmers, CSA’s, etc)

12/31 looking at CUESA as a possibility. La Cocina also looks awesome. Done, 3/31.

  • Women entrepreneurs
  • Womens’ sexual health (Planned Parenthood? 4/15 ugh A told me PP may be going out of business. *head hanging*)
  • Former or current sex workers

4/22 Considering Kiva.

6/3 Added little paint chip notes in my donation box to “cook” the ideas. This is fun.

Learned in Feb about Job Corps for possibly leading financial workshops. Scheduled for Aug. Teaching myself that my time IS an important thing to donate.

7/4 All Family Project. YES.

8/15 The Trevor Project. YES.

See a live pro tennis match

6/10 Wix is getting tix for late July. bank of the west classic.

It was awesome! Saw singles and doubles. Extremely inspiring.

Have my first mud bath

6/10 Choices: Indian Springs, Doc Wilkinson’s, Golden Haven

6/17 Have started a savings envelope for this. Have identified partner in crime to attend with me, NM.

Blissfully, gratefully done.

Complete the Quickbooks class I’m registered for

2/9 So far, so good! Although I’m writing this while in class now, oops.

2/23 LOL, same deal as 2/9. But I’m here.

3/16 I sense a theme. Same as previous 2 entries.

4/22 Hanging in. Inventory lesson was BO-RING and CFO contact assures me you rarely have to use that part, if at all.

6/3 Done! And certified!

Take a waterfall hike when it’s warm enough to swim at the base

4/22 Steep Ravine in Marin identified. Now I need the willing companion. FriendHusband driven away from this one by the Steep part.

6/3 RR invited me on a Yuba River trip this summer where they climb waterfalls. Yeh. I think I need to get in there.

6/10 Emailed him to get the trip dates.

6/17 Trip dates are same as Esalen weekend. I’m calling this one closed and feel fine with that.

Attend Sundance Saloon

6/9 Yes! Did that. Had a great, great time. Friendly folks and fun dancing.

7/3 Went last night and liked it even more the 2nd time. SO nice to glide across the floor in a waltz or 2-step.

Went a third time and got bumped into and stepped on. It’s what drove me away from the salsa scene. Don’t trample on this delicate flower, peeps!

Have considered SFSI hotline volunteering when About Face is done. Having dinner 1/13 with a friend who vol’s there. Nope. Not gonna do it.

****************************************************

(RIP) Finish the Dance Mission card by end January.

12/31. Foiled! White girl tried to go to hip hop last night but it was closed.

1/13 I am giving up on this. I keep moving it on my calendar so much that it’s stressing me out. I know I want to dance but it just hasn’t worked out yet. I’m happy to consider it a generous donation to a very cool studio.

Attend Nonstop Bhangra (hopefully in April, it’s on my cally)

4/15 It’s on the calendar this weekend but I don’t wanna stay up that late!! I need to find daytime Indian things.
4/22 Yeh, just probably not for me. Abandoned. Too late! I heart my sleep and clarity the next day.

Go to Ecstatic Dance with FriendWife

2/23 I heard about MettaDance and plan to go next Monday. Not sure if there is any dancing block, other than it being tough to stay awake late nights.

Went to MettaDance. Ehh. I think I just prefer having steps to do when I dance.

Cultivate ongoing (at least hanging out monthly) with 2 kids under 10, 1 girl and 1 boy

Jan – hung out several times with O and G. Adorable!

Feb-deficient in this. Saw O and G a couple times, but I was busy with other stuff.  Hmmm. May need either more help or more motivation to continue with this one.

Mar-see every other week G and J’s little ones.

Apr-hung out with I for a very  long time. Got to hold a brand new baby, and chatted a little with toddlers.

May-not so much. Plans for 2 different longterm occasions in June. I’m in kid debt : )

June -spending nearly 3 straight days with the little boy and girl! Woah! Please HP help me not lose them or some other rookie mistake.

Jul-Those 3 days are enough for me for the whole year. I’m considering this done.

Complete the Economics class I downloaded (added item 4/22)

4/22 Have listened to 3.5 lessons in a long series. Watched Inside Job last night and am tempted to go fetal around the topic. UGH. The movie pointed out the grotesque conflict of interest between bigtime academia (Harvard, Columbia, etc.) and political decisions. Just keep going, honey. Take what you like and leave the rest.

6/3 Need to keep going with this. Have done 5 lectures so far.

6/17 Dragging buttista on this. I think I’m afraid to take it in and trust it.

7/4 my iMac harddrive crashed. I bet I could re-download the remaining classes, but it’s just not that interesting anymore.

Spend at least 1 night in a treehouse

3/14 JL is building a treehouse in the Northwest and we are in contact about it! Neat.

6/17 Nope, that treehouse is on hold. Time to research other possibilities and make an envelope for saving for it.

7/4 Letting this one go. Glad to bring it back if the desire returns, but I looked at treehouse books and I’m fine with just keeping it in the desire realm.

  • Further out in future is watching tango in Buenos Aires. I don’t want to stay awake that late.
  • 2/9 new on the scene….India interest! Not going, but still studying.
  • 6/1 invitation to Thailand to meet up with JI. Jul, not at all interested.
  • Visit The S Family in Israel, with a trip to Greece. Potentially Fall 2011. Off the list. They moved back to the US!
  • Save/plan for Japan. 2012 is target. (wrote this before the tsunami.) $5K is savings goal. Ugh, just don’t feel like it. Keep thinking it will impress others.
  • Take Garrett’s Tai Chi class. Begins Aug 2010.6/17 Yes, I need this. Did Chi Gung with 2 friends at home and that felt really good.8/22 Now that I’m working more, I’d rather have this time for tenny instead.
